For players who want to remember their world

Every base, every portal,
every story of the season.

An explorer's journal for your world: places in every dimension, goals, photos, the advancements your friends earned and what happened, on one timeline where every event can lead to the next. Bring your minimap waypoints and the world's advancement files, and keep the whole season as one page that opens anywhere, offline.

What it cannot do (yet)
  • The world itself is not read: places come from you, your minimap files or pasted coordinates; advancements from the players' advancement files.
  • The journal lives in this browser. Download the journal file to move it to another computer or share it with friends; there is no live shared editing yet.
  • Only the Overworld, the Nether and the End. Waypoints in modded dimensions are listed as skipped.
  • JourneyMap 6 keeps waypoints in a binary file that is not read; its chat shares and JourneyMap 5 files are.
  • Photos are resized to 1600 pixels. Up to 2,000 places, 2,000 events, 500 goals and 200 photos per journal.
Where are my minimap waypoints?

Xaero's Minimap: .minecraft/XaeroWaypoints/<world or server>/dim%0 (Overworld), dim%-1 (Nether), dim%1 (End), files mw$default_1.txt; drop the whole world folder to keep the dimensions. VoxelMap: .minecraft/voxelmap/<world>.points. JourneyMap 5: journeymap/data/…/waypoints/*.json. You can also paste lines from the chat or from logs/latest.log where friends shared waypoints.

Is anything sent to a server?

No. The page works entirely in your browser: journals and photos stay in its storage until you download them. Clearing the site data of your browser deletes them, so download the journal file from time to time.

How do I keep the story of a season?

Export → "Download the season page". You get one HTML file with the timeline, the places, the goals and the photos inside. It runs no script, loads nothing from the internet and can be put in the season archive, sent to friends or printed.

Does it work with Cobblekit Seasons?

They are separate tools that go well together: Seasons archives the worlds and builds the hall of fame on the server; the journal keeps the players' story. Put the exported page next to the season archive.
